Project Accountability Review for Food for Peace funded project for CRS in Kismayu, Somalia

This program was funded by Food For Peace (“FFP”) and was implemented through a local partner, Sean Devereux Human Rights Organization (“SEDHURO” or “the implementing partner” or “the partner”). Total program funding was USD 2.9 million which initially targeted 3,000 beneficiaries, i.e. representatives from vulnerable households but this scope was later increased in July 2013 to include an additional 2,000 beneficiaries.

SEDHURO would issue food vouchers to the beneficiaries on a monthly basis which would then be redeemed at pre-selected vendors. The vouchers enabled the beneficiaries to receive USD 63 worth of food stuff from the vendors. There were 40 vendors in total and each beneficiary was allocated a specific vendor based on location.

Researchcare team conducted third party Project Accountability Review on the beneficiaries and the quantity and quality of food received.
