Our researchers are qualified and have extensive knowledge and experience in research. These include general research, environment related environment research, governance, organizational research and food security. We carry out scientific research that is objective, informative to addressing client’s needs within the set timeframe.
Researchcare Africa has several approaches to address the assessment needs of its clients including baseline, midterm assessment, feasibility studies, Livestock and Fisheries impact assessment, Crop Yield Assessment, Post Distribution Assessment of Cash Based Interventions, Resilience Index Measurement and Analysis (RIMA) etc. geared towards the development of responses in order to address the unique circumstances of each specific client. Researchcare Africa’s general approach in conducting such assessments is through the use of tested, internal methodologies and the adoption of best practices. Our data gathering techniques are robust and are based on social science principles, allowing us to gather and validate qualitative and quantitative data. The data is then analyzed and transformed into clear reports so as to provide our clients with accurate, reliable information and insight into their engagements and interventions.
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a critical examination of the effects of a project on the environment. An EIA identifies both negative and positive impacts of any development activity or project, and how it affects people, their property and the environment. Environmental problems are complex, and addressing them requires integrated approaches using a broad skills base. It is a useful aid for decision-making based on the understanding of the environmental implications including social, cultural, and aesthetic concerns which could be integrated with the analysis of the project costs and benefits. our aim is to achieve successful consent with the minimum of fuss that maximises commercial viability. This exercise should be undertaken early enough in the planning stage of projects for the selection of environmentally compatible sites, process technologies and other environmental safeguards.

Advisory and policy analysis

Clients partner with us to study, analyze and advise on the economic impact of proposed and enacted regulations, legislation and policies across a wide range of issues. Use of Mobile Data Application Platform
Regarding our data management approach, we will offer simple, user-friendly tools to make analyses of complex datasets accessible to stakeholders and decision-makers. Researchcare has over 300 tablets and smartphones for online and remote data collection and is able to collect data for reaching more than 10,000 respondents within a week. We will handle data in a comprehensive and consolidated manner to allow various types of analyses. Data is entered into Researchcare Africa web-based data management system to ease standardization and to prepare the various layers of analysis. We aim at providing the database analysis in a format that will allow our clients to verify our work and conduct their own analysis if desired. Therefore, R will produce a simplified data analysis dashboard for our clients for their internal analyses. These dashboards are critical elements in the process of passing the data to managers in a manner that enables them to run complex analyses which filter through a few clicks.
Project managers can easily check the situation on the ground for different groups or locations. Researchcare Africa has an established mobile data collection system that has over time been used by our previous clients. The system provides real-time monitoring through a mobile data collection approach. These dashboards will be linked to provide automatic updates of the indicators as set in the project logical framework. The monitoring system designed by Researchcare Africa has been tested and targets at removing the burden of data management from the project manager in order to emphasize his/her managing role. The monitoring system enables managers to gain timely access to field information in a structured and systematic manner, which allows for a comprehensive understanding of the situation and an appreciation of its complexity. Researchcare will use mobile-based data collection system (ONA) for the household survey and registration when required.
