IDP Intention Survey- Baidoa, Mogadishu and Dollow Districts
DRC, in collaboration with the Cash Alliance funded by ECHO, is currently implementing Drought Emergency Response (DER) project targeting drought affected populations in Mogadishu city, Baidoa, and Dollow districts. DRC engaged Researchcare Africa to conduct a comprehensive intention survey among IDP settlements in Baidoa to provide analytical report to be used by the Cash Alliance to inform post-drought recovery programming in 2018. The intention survey collected data from a sample of 6000 IDP households selected from 100 IDP settlements in Baidoa, Mogadishu and Dollow. Majority of the households targeted were newly displaced IDPs as a result of drought, while few were drawn from protracted caseloads. The survey primarily relied on quantitative data collected from IDP sites using standard questionnaire captured digitally and made available in real time, with minimal errors.
