SSF is funding investments across Somalia in line with its Gender Equality and Social Inclusion strategy, based on a theory of change that, increasing participatory governance in Somalia, especially when inclusive of women, youth and minorities will in turn enhance peace and stability in the country. In this vein, SSF is supporting Finn Church Aid (FCA) and Centre for Research Dialogue to implement a 21-month project in South west State (SWS) entitled Promoting Participation and Representation of Women in Political Decision Making in South West State of Somalia. This investment is divided into three main output areas under which the following activities are being carried out: OUTPUT 1: Improved capacity, confidence and skills for women to effectively participate in the decision-making and political processes. OUTPUT 2: Developed and strengthened effective policies and mechanisms for the increased participation and representation of women in decision making in local government. OUTPUT 3: Strengthened advocacy and public awareness to promote inclusive institutions, and the participation and representation of women in decision-making
